Thursday, April 24, 2008 Oprah Show: The Roloff Family & The Jonas Brothers

Thursday April 24, 2008

If you are a fan of Little People, Big World or The Jonas Brothers, today's show was the perfect fan treat.

I personally love the TLC hit LP, BW so I couldn't wait to see the family on Oprah. It was nice to hear that after the more than 3 years the family has been filming, that they don't regret any of their choices and feel that they are a stronger family because of it. Matt and Amy Roloff were driven to do the show to break the myths that many people still have about little people and help shine a light on what life is like for a person with dwarfism. Matt was happy to report that he has heard from children that say they no longer get teased at school for being short statured because of the show. What the family says holds true: they are just like any other people, they just do things in a different way.

Being the age that I am and having 2 young boys, The Jonas Brothers were not a group that I was very familiar with before today's episode - but I have to say that their interview showed just how down to earth the family is and what a great future they have ahead of them! Little brother Frankie (who, I've seen on the web, is called the "Bonus Jonas") was so cute and kept rubbing his eyes like he was tired - he is definitely a reason for the boys to stay grounded and close to family! Their performance was great and reminded me of being a 13 year old!

Tomorrow on Oprah:

  • "Nate's Kitchen of the Year Makeover!"
