After jumping on Oprah's couch in 2005, life for Tom Cruise has been a publicity nightmare. No longer is the name Tom Cruise a guaranteed draw to a film, more so a guarantee of the most recent tabloid selling, due to the constant scrutiny of his marriage to Katie Holmes and his following of Scientology. Oprah will address some of these issues when she sits down with Tom on Friday at his home in Colorado, and again in her studio on Monday to celebrate his 25 years in the business.

Opinions are mixed when it comes to Oprah supporting Tom, who many think is "out there" when it comes to his religious beliefs. Combining Oprah's support of Tom with that of her other Scientology friends, John Travolta and Kirstie Alley, questions have been raised over Oprah's own beliefs and whether any of it is "right" or not. Personally, I don't feel that Oprah being friends with someone has anything to do with her supporting their belief system or not, and the fact that she is supportive and giving to others in all walks of life is a great example of how others should be towards her.

I am looking forward to both shows - Friday, to see what Tom has to say about his experiences over the last 3 years, and Monday to celebrate some of his greatest films when he was known more for his great acting skills than his personal life.
