Oprah Attends Baltimore/DC Emmy Awards Honoring Richard Sher

Oprah Winfrey surprised guests by appearing at the local Baltimore/D.C. Emmy Awards this month to present friend and People Are Talking co-host, Richard Sher, with a lifetime achievement award. The event was held at the Washington Ritz-Carlton hotel and only a select few knew about the special appearance. Sher shared with the Baltimore Sun, "Since it's a lifetime achievement award and working with and being good friends with Oprah is certainly one of my lifetime achievements, I asked Oprah if she'd like to fly to DC to surprise the crowd and present the Emmy to me."
