It is very public knowledge that Oprah's contract for The Oprah Winfrey Show with CBS ends after the 2010-2011 season. There have been a number of rumors, since the announcement of the OWN network, that Oprah would possibly end the show and focus her attention on the network, or simply move the show from to OWN. Recent reports have stated that Oprah confirmed that the latter is true, that she has decided to shift networks after her contract ends and make The Oprah Winfrey Show the centerpiece of the new network. Oprah and her team confirmed today that she has not in fact decided if she will stay with CBS, step back from regular television, or move her show to OWN, but that she will make her decision and an announcement by the end of the year.

Didn’t Oprah promise (her guy) Matty Stepaniuk that she would carry on to her 25th tv anniversary? As he pointed out to her “because its a good number”…If you recall she acknowledged making some kind of deal with him before he died…She’s ready to move to something different – she has been for a while…I’m quite certain she will leave.
