Julianne and Helio, as the reigning champs, were the first to perform on the transformed Oprah set. The pair performed the cha-cha to "Love Rollercoaster". After their dance, Oprah asked them a question everyone wanted to know - are the dating? The answer, unfortunately for many, is no. The couple are great friends and have wonderful chemistry on the dance floor.
Helio shared that he had never taken a dancing lesson before signing up for the show that Apolo Anton Ohno convinced him to do. To prepare for the series, the duo worked anywhere between 6-10 hours a day dancing which helped build their friendship.
Cheryl and Drew were the next to perform their signature freestyle dance to "Save a Horse, Ride a Cowboy". After they energized the audience with their moves, Cheryl shared that she didn't think they had a chance at winning when starting the second season, but that when Drew hit the floor, he really brought his A game.
Kelly and Alec performed their freestyle dance as well to "Let's Get Loud" - and after 3 years off the show, Kelly still danced like she hadn't missed a day. Even though she is in great shape, Kelly shared that her muscles didn't remember the moves and she was very nervous to fall down.
Cheryl danced for a second time on the show with season 3 champ Emmitt Smith. With just 24 hours to prepare for the Oprah Show, Emmitt had to refresh his memory since it had been over a year since he won the title. The duo danced the mambo to "Que Bueno Baila Usted".
Emmitt shared that the series changed his life and he received a tremendous amount of appreciation from viewers who say he make it OK for men to dance.
Deneen, a huge fan of Dancing with the Stars wrote the Oprah Show explaining how much she loves the show and was inspired to start ballroom dancing lessons. As a surprise, Oprah send pro Derek Hough to Deneen's dance class to tell her she was going to get a chance to perform on the Oprah Show in just a few days.
Derek and Deneen performed the mambo and she danced great for only having a few days to get ready. Deneen just had a baby 15 months ago and she really showed off her skill on the stage.
