Guests:
Oprah welcomed Donald Trump, his wife Melania, and his five children Don Jr., Ivanka, Eric, Tiffany, and Barron Trump to the show to discuss a different side of the business tycoon.
Show Summary:
The first things that come to mind when thinking of Donald Trump are typically businessman, billionaire, tycoon, his hotels and products, The Apprentice, and his signature hair style. But would you think of Donald Trump as a loyal family man? As someone who has worked hard to instill a strong work ethic into his children's lives? On this episode of The Oprah Show a different side of Donald Trump was shown as he appeared for the first time with all 5 of his children together, along with his grandchildren and wife Melania.
Special Highlights:
This episode featured the following highlights:
- Donald Trump's children Don, Ivanka, Eric, Tiffany, and Barron are the result of three marriages over the last 30 plus years to Ivana, Marla Maples, and Melania.
- Appearing on Oprah's stage more than 10 times, Donald Trump has over the years revealed a great deal about himself and his view on his life.
- Considering himself loyal to his family and friends, Donald Trump admitted he considers himself a great father though his skill as a husband has been questionable in his mind.
- Speaking to each of his children, Oprah found that they all find his dedication to business and his family inspiring, and that through watching him they have learned the importance of education and hard work that has led them in the direction of the family business.
What to Take Away from the Show:
People are not always what they seem, and from this episode viewers were given a glimpse of another side of Donald Trump -- typically thought of as a powerful businessman, we now know that he also has a soft place in his heart for his family. It was also refreshing to hear during the interviews on the show that Donald Trump's children were taught to have a strong work ethic and value success as much as their father; instead of living off of his hard work, they have dedicated themselves to learning and furthering the family business.
