Show Summary:
Oprah claimed that she never before had so many Oscar winners/nominees on her stage at one time as she welcomed the cast of the latest Rob Marshall musical film Nine. Daniel Day-Lewis, Nicole Kidman, Penelope Cruz, Marion Cotillard, and Kate Hudson appeared for the show, but also star with heavy hitters Sophia Lauren, Judy Dench and Fergie in the film. The cast shared clips from the project and also spoke one-on-one with Oprah about their experience filming a musical with such a famed director. Overall, everyone involved felt excitement and intimidation to work with Rob, but became a close family through filming.

- Daniel Day-Lewis prefers not to rehearse for a role, but was forced to in order to prepare for this musical production. While he has trouble leaving his characters behind after living as another person for months, Daniel is also a devoted husband and father as well as being an accomplished actor.
- Not feeling as skilled as she would have liked in her vocal performance, Nicole Kidman admitted frustrations at having limits to her singing. Filming the movie didn't keep her away from her family as she and husband Keith Urban are never apart for more than three days.

- Penelope Cruz had never attempted singing professionally and was scared to attempt it, but after 3 months of rehearsal excelled with her performance. After falling in love with acting at 13, Penelope was thrilled with this new acting challenge.

- Filming Nine was one of Kate Hudson's best experiences to date and the show stopping movie is sure to get attention. Kate was hush about her relationship with Alex Rodriguez but shared that she is happy and full of joy.

Nine is filled to the brim with Hollywood talent and looks to be a major musical hit with the story following the life of an Italian film director and the many dramatic relationships in his life. Listening to each of the stars share their insecurities when beginning rehearsal and the close relationships they developed with each other over the production time, viewers can only hope that the chemistry is revealed through the screen. Nine opens in limited cities December 18, 2009 and nationwide on Christmas Day.
