Jennifer Aniston on Vogue:
Oprah welcome Jennifer Aniston back to the show to talk about her Vogue Magazine cover and film Marley & Me.
Jennifer started by sharing that she is doing great and happy to be in Chicago around all of the positive energy in the city. She spent election night at David and Courtney Cox Arquette's party, where she brought an Obama Cake she made herself. Jennifer and Oprah joked about box cake mixes for a moment, but a picture Jennifer shared showed a rather nice looking cake.
Oprah then moved on to the article everyone is talking about in Vogue, where Jennifer is quoted as saying, "what Angelina did was very uncool."
Jen responded by revealing that the content of the article is not reflected by the quote on the cover; that when she was asked the question, she answered as honestly as she could. She added that the events are 100 years old and she doesn't go there. The question was referring to a statement Angelina had made about she and Brad's kids getting to watch the film of them falling in love - Mr. and Mrs. Smith, which was shot while Brad and Jennifer were still married. Oprah commented the public takes the "poor Jennifer" approach with Jen stating that good news isn't interesting and that highlighting the negativity sells.
She added that it's nice that she has fans that follow her life and care about what happens and her happiness. She shared that she has been very lucky in love, even if it doesn't look the way it's "supposed" to. It was clear that Jennifer has moved on with her life as she expressed how she is proud of Brad and the work he has done as well as his family.
Jennifer Aniston on 'Marley & Me':
Oprah moved the conversation to Jen's new movie, Marley & Me, which co-stars Owen Wilson and is based off of the bestselling book. Jennifer enjoyed the role in which she plays a wife and mother.
Oprah mentioned a scene in the film where the couple, John and Jenny, are sitting on a couch and Jenny reveals that she had to give up more of herself than she thought - Jennifer related this scene to women all over the country who struggle to balance work, family and self.
The interview then shifted gears from the film to Jennifer's current dating situation. She confirmed that she is dating John Mayer, but that she is not pregnant. Jennifer will be turning 40 in February, and shared that it feels, "kind of awesome" though she still sees herself as pretty immature.
The movie trailer was featured explaining the film that follows newlyweds as they pick out their yellow lab puppy through to how they learned life's unexpected lessons from their naughty dog.
Jennifer shared that it wasn't difficult acting with a dog, but harder to act through the trainer instructing the dog. Jennifer's own dogs - Norman, 13 and Dolly 2 - Skyped in with her friend West to say hello.
Another clip was shown from Marley & Me of the dog eating Jenny's necklace and needing a laxative before Owen Wilson was shown Skyping in from Maui.
Owen Wilson on 'Marley & Me':
Owen Wilson appeared via Skype with his dog, Garcia. Owen explained how he connected to the story from growing up with dogs (pictures were shown of Owen as a kid with dogs blue, teddy, duke and nutmeg). Clyde, who played Marley in the film, was good at acting crazy according to Owen and performing the tricks to be naughty for the film which made it both easy and a challenge to work with him. Owen's parents had a cameo in the film, playing his parents in a montage scene. Owens finished his segment by sharing how he felt responsible during the film to honor the book and have people connect to the story.
