Oprah's Favorite Things for Summer - Mar-a-Lago Turkey Burger:
When Oprah was in Palm Springs for Maya Angelou's 80th birthday party, she ate a turkey burger at the Mar-a-Lago Club that she said was the best she had ever had. Donald Trump brought the secret recipe to the show with executive chef Jeff O'Neill. The recipe includes:
- Ground turkey
- sauteed celery, apples and onions
- parsley, salt and pepper
- lemon zest and juice
- chipotle tobasco
- Major Grey's chutney
Chef O'Neill recommends refrigerating the mix for 2 hours before grilling.
Since Chef O'Neill couldn't make the burger for the entire audience, they all went home with a new Weber Grill and tools valued at over $850!
Oprah's Favorite Things for Summer - Heidi Klum:
Heidi Klum, supermodel and host of the Bravo! hit Project Runway joined the show to share her favorite bathing suit trends for summer. Heidi's motto for swimwear is "the smaller the better" but that doesn't work for everyone, so Heidi showed styles for every body.
According to Heidi, bold colors, prints and neon are in for the season, but she recommends wearing whatever makes you comfortable. Great accessories include hats, flowers, bags and cover-ups. Models showcased a collection of suits and accessories.
Among the accessories included the Yummie Tummie tanks that have a midsection panel that sucks the tummy in. The tanks come in 10 different colors for $62 each. Another accessory was Fit Flops, athletic style flip flops - the audience received each accessory.
Oprah's Favorite Things for Summer - O Magazine O-wards:
The April 2008 issue of O Magazine hosted the first annual Makeup O-wards that chose the best in makeup for the season. This season's winners included:

- Color: hot pink
- Clinique shadow
- Maybelline Mineral Powder

Oprah also added her favorite makeup piece - the NARS Cosmetics Kabuki Artisan Botan Brush that retails for $75. The audience went home with the entire collection, including the brush!
Oprah's Favorite Things for Summer - Samantha Brown Travel Tips:
Samantha Brown from the Travel Channel shared travel tips for when money is tight. Samantha suggests visiting a big city in the summer when the locals are out of town and there are many free things to do. Another option is visiting a winter ski resort in off season to hike, bike and picnic on the mountain. If Europe is your dream, Samantha suggests Buenos Aires, Argentina that has the charm of Europe without the high price tag.
Oprah's Favorite Things for Summer - Travel Accessories:
To make the trip more fun, Oprah shared a few travel accessories to take along. The first favorite thing was a weekender bag, a rolling duffle from Toss Designs that retails for $168 that is perfect for a quick trip. To help get you there, Oprah loves the Garmin GPS in pink that's small enough to fit in your pocket and retails for $267. To make the audience's trip complete after they received their bag and GPS, Courtyard by Marriott threw in a $200 gift card!

Oprah things summer is a great time to start sharing family meals, and what better to make them special than the new O Magazine Cookbook with recipes by over 60 famous chefs. Oprah shared her favorite summer drink from the book, Pomegranate Daqueris.

Oprah's favorite CD for summer is Mary J Blige Growing Pains - and Mary was on hand to perform her single "Stay Down"! Besides going home with the MJB CD, the audience also received a copy of A New Earth book and audio version.
