Friday Live in Chicago - Jay Leno:

The Friday Live panel, Ali, Mark and Gayle, joined Oprah and started right in on the latest headlines. First up on the list was Jay Leno being hospitalized. While his team says he's doing fine and will return to work on Monday, they didn't state the problem. Thursday was the first time Jay had ever cancelled his show. Ali was a guest on Wednesday and expressed that he seemed alright, but that she had been checking in with his people for updates.

The Park Avenue Mom:

The panel moved on to discus the Park Avenue mom who kicked her daughters, 10 & 12 out of the car after a frustrating drive. The lawyer left her kids 3 miles away from their house and drove off. After a Good Samaritan picked up the girls and took them to a police station, the mother was charged with child endangerment. The panel expressed that they understood the woman's impulse and frustrations, but felt that acting upon those were completely wrong since she put her children in jeopardy.

Kelly Ripa :

Mark's wife Kelly Ripa stopped by via Skype from the set of Live with Regis and Kelly to share a bit about the vacation she and Mark just returned from. The couple visited a Turks and Caicos resort, just the 2 of them, to celebrate their 13th wedding anniversary. Both Mark and Kelly shared that the resort was a very sexy place, though the other guests all came with children during Spring Break. The couple shared some of their photos, of which Kelly is only in 1 since she is the family photographer. The couple also shot down Dancing with the Stars rumors and talked parenting.

Craigslist Killer:

The panel also chimed in on the alleged Craigslist killer, saying that the internet is a blessing, but how much is too much? Because there isn't anyone screening the web, there is no way to control what is being put out there. Luckily, authorities were able to find their suspect based on his computer use. Accused of killing 1 woman and assaulting another, his fiance is still standing by him and obviously had no clue that her boyfriend was living a double life. The 23 year old Boston University student pled not guilty, and is looked at for getting a pass in life because of his looks.

My Sister's Keeper:

The Friday Live panel were given the opportunity to screen Cameron Diaz's latest film, My Sister's Keeper and all expressed how much they loved it. Cameron appeared on the show via Skype from LA to share her thoughts on her role and the movie. The movie is basically about a family and a daughter with cancer who have a baby for her 'spare parts.' Saying that the film is also about so much more, Cameron described that the film teaching viewers about every member as one of them is fighting for their life. With everyone's energy going towards keeping the 1 person alive, everyone suffers in their own way, says Cameron.

Losing her father during filming, Cameron revealed that she didn't really remember the last 3 weeks of filming and if the death of her father hurt her role or helped her. Cameron also shared that everyone on the set was wonderful and a great support for her during such a difficult time.

To end her interview, Cameron commended 15 year-old actress Sofia Vassilieva, who played her daughter in the film. Sofia made the decision to shave her head and eyebrows to play the role, which impressed Cameron incredibly. The panel mentioned how playing a mother was a new level for Cameron's career, which she stated she enjoyed.

Baconnaise:

What is the hottest new condiment on the market? None other than Baconnaise - a vegetarian and kosher bacon-flavored spread/dip. Oprah and the panel welcomed the creators of the product, Justin and Dave, to the show via Skype from Seattle to share their success. Launched out of their garage, the men are now running a multi-million dollar bacon-flavored company with products such as salt, lip balm and even beer in plans for the future.

Robin Thicke:

As an added treat to end the show, Oprah welcomed Robin Thicke to perform Al Green's "Let's Stay Together" and his own hit, "Magic." Robin is currently on tour with Jennifer Hudson and will be on the road for the next 3 weeks. Oprah also alerted viewers to the project she is working on with Tyler Perry that is scheduled to be released in November - Precious or Push: Based on the Novel by Sapphire - which co-stars Robin's wife, Paula Patton. Robin shared a little about how he and his wife began dating, which started by him singing "Forever My Lady" by Jodeci.
