Sexy Back Makeovers - The Style Team:
Inspired by the article "Hello Sexy" in O Magazine, Oprah decided to do similar style sexy back makeovers for viewers on the show. With the help of the O Magazine style team including Adam Glassman, Valerie Monroe and Ken Paves, Oprah set out to change the way 4 women see themselves. Each of the women also received a professional photo shoot by Russell James with a photo to take home with them.
Sexy Back Makeovers - Stephanie:
The first woman to get a sexy makeover was Stephanie, 35, who has been married for nearly 17 years and has 2 children. Working as the assistant to the funeral director, Stephanie's daily wardrobe consists of androgynous black suits and comfortable shoes.
The team set out to make a huge transformation with each of the women, to give them a jumpstart to their new sexy confidence. Stephanie looked drastically different with shorter, lighter hair styled in big curls. With a bordeaux wine colored dress in a matte jersey material with a deep V, Stephanie looks comfortable, glamorous and sexy.
Sexy Back Makeovers - Susan Nethero's 5 Intimate Essentials:
Bra specialist, Susan Nethero, provided her list of the 5 essential intimates that every woman should own. They included:
- A date bra
- A demi/push-up bra
- A strapless bra
- Camisoles
- Sexy panties
Sexy Back Makeovers - Suzanne:
Next in line for a transformation was Suzanne, a stay-at-home mother of 2 raising an autistic son. Suzanne shared that she feels like a boring robot in her t-shirts, leggings, granny panties and hair in a bun. Putting her husband and children first, Suzanne stated she would love to discover herself again.
Suzanne's makeover consisted of healthy hair styled in long flowy curls and an evening outfit with cleavage to spare. Suzanne's wardrobe included a red bra under a transparent evening blouse with puffy sleeves and a long satin skirt.
Sexy Back Makeovers - Barbara:
Barbara, a park ranger who wears a uniform every day, was next to receive her makeover. In her 50s, Barbara shared how going through menopause made her body look and feel different and changed the way she looks at herself. Being in a tough job and enjoying riding a Harley after work, Barbara thinks that dating seems hopeless.
Barbara's new look had Oprah stunned - with hair reminiscent of old Hollywood, Barbara looked fabulous in a silver/purple shimmery off-the-shoulder gown and stiletto heals. Barbara's daughter Hannah, in the audience, thought her mom looked beautiful.
Sexy Back Makeovers - Tonya:
A mother of 3 and former model, Tonya was the final woman to reveal her makeover. 15 years after leaving modeling in NY to become a mother in Pennsylvania, Tonya put on 30 pounds and felt her appearance go downhill after having her second child.
The style team made Tonya feel like herself again when they added extensions to her hair, a stylish bang and dressed her in a black strapless knee length dress.
Style Back Makeovers - The Real Housewives of Orange County:
Oprah introduced the ladies from the hit Bravo show The Real Housewives of Orange County - Tamera, Gina, Vicky, Lori and Gretchen. The women are known for dressing over-the-top sexy in California and Oprah's style team gave each of them a New York makeunder.
Gina, a real estate agent and mother of 3, was transformed in a black turtleneck and pencil leopard skirt. Tamera, a stay-at-home mother of 4, was given a younger look with skinny jeans, healed boots, a metallic tank and leather jacket. Lori, who was recently re-married, showed off her belted tailored pants, ruffled blouse and cardigan.
Vicky, an insurance agent and mother of 2, rocked a trench coat, 50s style secretary dress, fishnet stockings with red heals and red handbag. Gretchen, the new Housewife, showed off her leggings, knee high boots, mini skirt and belted off the shoulder sweater.
The women were given unique looks that fit their personalities and all said they loved them - but that they would go back to their old ways in California!
